Driving Satisfaction - Shelley Oldenburg Featured In Fleet Service Technology

We are incredibly proud to share that Shelley Oldenburg from our Madison location was featured in the December 2019 edition of FleetServiceTechnology.com.

The article from Fleet Service Technology is called “Engaging Approach” which features Shelley and her all-inclusive management practices that are driving satisfaction at Kriete Truck Center – Madison.

Shelley shares some of her top priorities, proper service paths, how she’s closing the communication loop with staff and customers, increasing throughput for technicians, and delivering the best experiences.

One of eight Kriete Truck Centers, the Kriete Madison Truck Center is a 29-bay facility staffed by 32 technicians. Eight of those technicians report directly to Oldenburg and focus on medium-duty brands. No small task for any service manager like Shelley.  The other 15 technicians work on heavy-duty models and nine are assigned to the body shop.

“Keeping everyone, including technicians, service advisors and parts personnel, fully engaged in the process leads to lower costs and maximum uptime for customers,” she shared in the Fleet Service Technology article.

Kriete Group has over eight Wisconsin based locations, so meeting everyone within the company isn’t often accomplished. However, in early December 2019 Kriete had an annual Sales Summit where all managers, sales representatives and other staff came together to discuss each of their overall location 2019 statistics as well as their 2020 strategies and goals. This also brought the opportunity for everyone who attended to meet and revisit with other Kriete employees across the state, including Shelley.

“Before I met Shelley, I had heard such great things about her from her staff and from other location employees. She had a wonderful rapport within the company,” Angie Kurth from Kriete’s marketing team pointed out. “When I finally had a chance to introduce myself to her waiting outside for one of our luncheons, I got to see what everyone was talking about. She was very down-to-earth and pleasant, but robust and gave a real sense of pride in her management.”

Shelley continually demonstrates a true understanding of the customer’s needs, expectations and works everyday committing to them. “Shelley also works very well in training, developing and staffing the department accordingly,” says Kriete’s Madison general manager, Jesse Townsend.  “She is very consistent, makes sure to understand her technicians needs and ensures they are met with fair evaluation of performance and expectation.”

Shelley’s ongoing commitment to product knowledge, manufacturer processes and resources ensure the customers are satisfied and return. She has a team of energetic, proud service technicians whom are passionate and take pride in their responsibilities and workmanship.
