“Kriete makes it easy. If I need a truck, they’ll have one for me within an hour. We keep rolling, and they honor the same pricing. That’s just as good as getting a new truck the next day.”

Ryan Pederson, Owner of Speedy Peedy Logistics

Ryan Pederson never planned to be the guy you call in a pinch, but five years into leading Speedy Peedy Logistics, that’s exactly who he is. Today, he and his team are Milwaukee’s go-to for fast, dependable deliveries.

A serial entrepreneur with a passion for speed, Pederson has built multiple businesses on quick, reliable service, from racing and bounce houses to towing and logistics. In 2017, Speedy Peedy Logistics launched with just one truck hauling for Amazon. Today, it has grown into a fleet of nearly 40 trucks operating daily, delivering LTL freight, full truckloads and spot loads across southeastern Wisconsin. But the road to success was not without its challenges.

FROM ONE TRUCK TO A FLEET

“I only knew the towing world at the time,” Pederson recalls. “I started with one truck, and I wasn’t really thrilled about it. I didn’t know anything about it.”

Still, the momentum picked up quickly. “Towing was my bread and butter, but after starting Speedy Peedy Logistics, we went from one truck to four in just two months. Within a year, we were up to 20.”

In the early days, rentals were essential to keep up with demand. That reliance eventually led to purchasing trucks and scaling rapidly. By 2022, Pederson was operating more than 60 trucks daily. It was a massive leap, but managing that volume with a small, highly efficient team proved to be a tough balancing act.

Looking for more sustainable growth, Pederson expanded into semi operations and began focusing on dedicated local routes. “Now we’ve got customers on consistent runs, where our drivers know what to expect each day,” he says. “It’s been a great success for us.”

All of Speedy Peedy Logistics’ customers are either based in Wisconsin or have strong ties to the state. “For us, it’s about being universal for our customers. Anything with a truck, we can either find someone or do it ourselves,” he says.

SCALING SMART

With a reputation built on fast response times and customer-first service, Pederson credits much of Speedy Peedy’s success to adaptability and having the right partners along the way.

That flexibility is where Kriete Truck Centers plays a key role. With a wide range of brands, maintenance services and a robust rental and leasing program, Kriete has supported Pederson’s fast-moving operations with equipment and expertise tailored to his business needs.

Speedy Peedy Logistics leverages a diverse fleet—including Volvo VNR, Hino L6, and Mack Granite, to meet the demands of his business. “We have a little bit of everything Kriete offers, and that’s probably one of the biggest benefits. They service many different brands at the same time,” says Pederson.

In a time-sensitive industry, transparency matters. Pederson values Kriete’s honest communication and their ability to keep operations running without disruption.

“If I need a truck or have to order something, they tell me the real timeline. They don’t just give me a number to make me happy,” he says. “If it’s going to be six months, they’ll tell me and they’ll get me an interim truck in the meantime.”

Kriete’s rental program gives customers access to the latest technology-equipped trucks without the burden of long-term commitments. Whether covering peak demand, seasonal projects or unexpected needs, Kriete provides a flexible, cost-effective way to keep operations moving on the customer’s terms.

“There aren’t many dealers out there that can do that,” he says. “Not every dealer even has a rental program. Having both sales and rental options hand in hand is huge for us.”

MORE THAN A DEALERSHIP

But for Pederson, it goes beyond trucks. It’s about relationships. “I can walk into Kriete and they know me by name, even if I haven’t seen them in a while,” he says. “It’s like walking into your hometown bank. You’re not just a number. If you’re there, they take care of you.”

That kind of personalized service has supported Pederson’s journey, even when he didn’t buy a truck directly from Kriete, they stepped up to help with financing and committed to ongoing service.

“They didn’t have to do that,” Pederson says. “But they did. Because it’s about partnership. That total-package dealership support is why we keep coming back.”

As Speedy Peedy Logistics continues to grow, adding new services, expanding its fleet and stepping into new ventures, Pederson remains committed to keeping the business grounded in the values it was built on: hard work, personal relationships and a family-first mindset.
